The iDose is a small implant that slowly and continuously releases glaucoma medication over the course of several years. It’s placed during a minimally invasive procedure that takes only a few minutes, and most patients feel back to normal within a few days.
We understand how challenging it can be to apply glaucoma eye drops every day — and there are inevitably days when they’re missed. The iDose implant eliminates that concern by providing constant intraocular pressure control without the need for daily drops.
Additionally, it removes the irritation and discomfort that some patients experience with traditional topical medications.
When the medication inside the iDose is eventually exhausted after a few years, the device can be safely replaced to continue delivering effective glaucoma management.
