Dr. Simra Anwar is a dedicated optometrist seeing patients at Sweeney Eye Associates’ Richardson and Sunnyvale locations. She graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in biology, and then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley.
Dr. Anwar completed advanced externships at both the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford University, and at UCSF Health, where she trained in ocular disease, advanced diagnostic care, and surgical co-management.
As a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist, Dr. Anwar’s clinical focus encompasses comprehensive eye exams, management of various ocular conditions, vision therapy, and myopia control.
Dr. Anwar is fluent in English and proficient in Urdu and Hindi. Outside the office, she enjoys staying active, exploring local food, and spending time with her family.
