Dr. Vincent D. Venincasa, a Florida native, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery, LASIK, and refractive lens exchange. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Miami before completing his medical degree at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Venincasa furthered his education with an MBA from Oklahoma State University, Spears School of Business.
Following his academic pursuits, Dr. Venincasa completed his Internal Medicine Internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences before embarking on his residency in Ophthalmology at the esteemed Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City. Throughout his training, he demonstrated exceptional dedication and was elected Chief Resident during the 2018-2019 academic year.
Dr. Venincasa is committed to providing exceptional eye care to his patients. He has been recognized for his contributions to the field, receiving awards such as the 405 Magazine Top Doctor, Journal Record Achievers Under 40, and NextGen Oklahoma 30 Under 30. He is also an active member of various committees and boards, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology Museum of the Eye Program Committee and the Holy Family Guild of the Catholic Medical Association, where he serves as President of the Board of Directors.
Currently, Dr. Venincasa practices as a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist at Sweeney Eye Associates in North Texas, particularly serving patients out of Sweeney Eye Associates in Richardson, and Sunnyvale. With his expertise in cataract surgery, LASIK, and refractive lens exchange, Dr. Venincasa is dedicated to helping his patients achieve optimal vision and improve their quality of life. He welcomes new patients seeking exceptional eye care to his practice.
Dr. Venincasa lives with his lovely wife, Kiran, who is a general surgeon in the Rockwall area. They have two young daughters, who constantly make them laugh and brighten their day! In his spare time, Dr. Venincasa enjoys watching college football, cooking, art and travel.
