Our facility accepts many PPO and POS medical insurances and strives to provide excellent care with convenient financial options. To maximize your insurance reimbursement, please bring your insurance information to the surgery center. Since insurance policies vary and often change, co-payment estimates may not always be precise. As a courtesy, keep us informed of any changes to your insurance to ensure your information is up to date.

Before Surgery: What to Do

Routine Medications:
Take medications as instructed by your healthcare provider. Bring any essential medications, such as inhalers or insulin, with you on the day of surgery.ications (e.g., inhaler, insulin) with you.ping your information current allows us to better assist you.

Expect a Call:
You may receive up to three calls before your surgery:

  • From your healthcare team to review your health, provide instructions, and answer questions.
  • From the business office to discuss co-payments and deductibles.
  • From your anesthesiologist to discuss your anesthesia plan.

Tests:
Any pre-operative tests required will be communicated to you by your physician or anesthesiologist.

What to Bring:

  • Photo ID
  • Insurance cards
  • Any medications you may need during your visit
  • A complete list of current medications (including names and dosages)
  • Payment for any patient responsibilities (co-payments, deductibles)
    Tip: Leave valuables like rings and watches at home.

Eating & Drinking:
Follow the eating and drinking instructions provided by your healthcare team. Failure to follow these could result in your surgery being delayed or canceled.

Day of Surgery: What to Expect

Arrival:
When you arrive, our staff will greet you and check you in. The process will be quick since most of your information is gathered in advance. We will verify your details to ensure accuracy.

Pre-Operative Preparation:
A nurse will perform a pre-operative assessment, which may include taking your vital signs and starting an IV if required.

Your anesthesia provider will meet with you to review your medical information and discuss your anesthesia plan.

Communication with Family or Friends:
Our staff will keep your family and friends informed about your progress during the procedure and let them know when they can rejoin you after surgery.

Meeting Your Doctor:
Before your procedure, you will most likely meet with your doctor to confirm the surgical details and the procedure site.

Arrival Time:
You will receive your specific arrival time during a pre-operative phone call. It is important to arrive at the designated time to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Diet Recommendations:
Your surgeon may provide specific dietary guidelines for your recovery. Generally, it’s best to eat lightly after surgery and drink plenty of fluids. Avoid consuming alcoholic beverages.

Family Visits:
After surgery, you will be taken to a recovery area where a nurse will monitor your vital signs and ensure your comfort as the anesthesia wears off. Once you are awake and alert, your family will be allowed to join you in the recovery area. Special arrangements are available for children having surgery.

Transportation:
You will not be permitted to drive after your procedure. Arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home. If walking or using public transportation, ensure you are accompanied by an adult.

Routine Medications:
Most patients can resume their usual medications after surgery. If you have diabetes or are taking blood thinners, adjustments may be needed. These instructions will be explained before you leave. For further questions, contact your surgeon or primary care physician.

Recovery Time:
Recovery times vary by patient. A nurse will monitor your vital signs to ensure you are stable and alert. You will be discharged once your healthcare team determines it is safe for you to leave.
